Lorem Ipsum Entertainment is a production company focused on developing and producing films and TV shows for intellectually curious audiences.

The company’s current production slate includes Kristen Stewart’s directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, starring Imogen Poots. The film is based on Lidia Yuknavitch’s best-selling memoir, which is a raw and transformative exploration of trauma, identity, and the resilience of the human spirit.

Another feature currently in production is Disappearance, directed by Kirill Serebrennikov. The film is based on the best-selling book The Disappearance of Dr. Mengele by Olivier Guez, which details the post-WWII life of Josef Mengele, the “Angel of Death” of Auschwitz, known for his experiments on Auschwitz prisoners. The film promises to be a haunting and unflinching examination of Mengele’s years in hiding, his evasion of justice, and the moral questions surrounding his eventual demise.

Among films in development and pre-production is Jupiter by celebrated director Andrey Zvyagintsev, recognized for his two Oscar nominations and a Golden Globe win for films such as Leviathan and Loveless. Jupiter will mark Mr. Zvyagintsev’s much-anticipated return to cinema after a six-year hiatus, and is expected to continue his tradition of exploring complex social and moral dilemmas through visually striking and emotionally resonant storytelling.

Lorem Ipsum has also recently completed Yan Vizinberg’s 10-part documentary series The Unfinished Time: Russia in the 90s, which delves into the history of the only democratic decade in the country’s history, from the collapse of the Soviet Union to Putin’s ascent to power. This project is the culmination of many years spent interviewing the era’s most influential figures, including various heads of state (such as Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Alexander Lukashenko, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and many others), Russian cabinet ministers, chiefs of the FSB and the military—many of whom have never been interviewed before—oligarchs from that period, members of Boris Yeltsin’s family, and politicians from across the political spectrum.
